The Ultimate Victory!1 Corinthians 15:16-18, 54-55 “For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished… So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” In the sports world I have heard commentators say, “They could not have won it all without him” or “her”. Truth is, no one knows that for sure and that is just one person’s opinion. But, when it comes to victory over death, there would be NO victory in death without Jesus Christ! He first conquered death when He arose from the grave on the third day! He is the resurrection and the life!! Because He lives, we who are saved shall live also! Because He lives, those who are saved experience death with victory and hope. In Christ we who are saved have the ultimate victory, we shall live again when we die. For some death and cemeteries are so final. In Christ they are just a gateway to eternal life with Jesus Christ our Lord.
