In 1964, Ford imagined the future of family travel with the Aurora, a concept car that felt more like a luxury lounge than a station wagon. The interior featured a wraparound sofa, a mini-bar, and a front passenger seat that could swivel 180 degrees to face the back. Most ahead of its time was the dashboard navigation system: a scrolling paper map that acted as a functional ancestor to the GPS we use today.
