CHICAGO — In a masterclass of Democrat hypocrisy that would make even Barack Obama blush, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer announced he will lead a massive protest outside the Obama Presidential Center after discovering that visitors must show a valid photo ID — plus proof of Illinois residency — just to get in for free on Tuesdays.“This is Jim Crow 3.0, plain and simple,” Schumer bellowed into a microphone, fists raised like a geriatric revolutionary. “Requiring poor, minority communities to present government papers before they can admire my good friend Barack’s half-billion-dollar vanity project is the most racist thing I’ve seen since… well, since Republicans demanded the exact same thing to vote.”The Obama Presidential Center — a glittering $500 million+ monument to one man’s ego, partially subsidized by Chicago taxpayers — quietly enforces the ID rule to keep out “undesirables.” Schumer, who spent years screeching that the SAVE Act’s proof-of-citizenship requirement for voter registration is “Jim Crow 2.0” and a “voter suppression bill” that would disenfranchise millions, insists this is completely different.“When it’s to stop non-citizens from voting, that’s racism,” Schumer explained with a straight face. “When it’s to protect Barack’s basketball memorabilia collection and overpriced gift shop, it’s just responsible stewardship. Big difference, folks.”At press time, sources close to the Obama Foundation confirmed the policy remains in place because, unlike elections, “we actually give a damn who walks through the door.” Schumer was reportedly last seen drafting a bill to declare the library a “sanctuary zone” where ID checks are banned — except for the armed security guards who will still demand them.
