The Whereabouts Of God’s Servants1 Kings 19:18“Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.”In 1 Kings chapter 19 Elijah finds himself in a state of being somewhat depressed and feeling sorry for himself. He’s running from God and God asked him not once but twice, “What doest thou here, Elijah?” Elijah thought he was the last of the prophets of God. He said, “I, even I only, am left…” God enlightened him and let him know that He had “seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal”.In the last 3 1/2 years of an itinerate ministry I have found out that God has servants, those who truly love Him, all over this great country of ours. In big cities and small towns, mountain hollows and seasides, known places and places I never heard of, God has a witness!I have found that many of these servants are quite different but all have one truth in common they have not bowed to this world. They love God, love His Word, desire to see people get saved, the saints encouraged, and God glorified. I am grateful that God has allowed me to meet so many of these wonderful servants of His. God knows where these servants are and I have confident faith in His Word that God is working through others besides me and you!So the next time you think you are the only one, remember God told Elijah he had 7,000.I wonder what that number is today?
