5. Why seek the living among the dead?
Luke 24:5.
It's the first day of the week.
The four Gospels give an account of Jesus's resurrection.
Matthew 28:6, "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said."
Mark 16:6, "Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is not here."
Luke 24:6, "He is not here, but is risen."
John 20:16, "Jesus saith unto her, Mary."
All the accounts have a heavenly witness saying, "He is not here!"
All who came to the tomb were seeking a dead Jesus; some worried about who would move the stone.
In your journey with Christ, is He alive and with you? Or is He very far away, like a relative you have lost?
Only a living Jesus can give you hope of eternal life.
Out of all the Gospels, John gives his eyewitness account.
No one saw Jesus rise; He was gone before the tomb was opened.
But John saw Jesus speak to Mary.
Today, Jesus is alive and sitting next to the Father.
He completed everything He had to do so you could be with Him in heaven.
Christ's death and resurrection is proof we have forgiveness and a pardon, and as Christ rose from death, so shall all who believe.
HE'S ALIVE. Amen.
