ISIS has issued a direct call for Muslims to set fire to churches and synagogues across the United States and Europe this Easter weekend.The threat appears in the latest edition of ISIS’s weekly propaganda magazine al-Naba. It urges attacks in retaliation for Israel’s closure of the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.“In the face of the tragedy of the closure of the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque, it is incumbent upon Muslims everywhere… to rise up and set fire to the Jewish synagogues scattered across America, Europe, Russia, India, and elsewhere,” the publication states. It adds that the same applies to synagogues in Tunisia, Morocco, the UAE, and Syria, noting their locations are “well-known” and details have been published.ISIS also tells supporters to “emulate the actions of the ‘Sydney Heroes’” — a reference to the 2025 Hanukkah terror attacks in Australia that killed 16 people.
