One man ran the entire operation from Florida.Francisco Javier Ravelo, 36, of Coral Gables, Florida, pleaded guilty on March 2 to distributing videos depicting the sexual torture and mutilation of baby and adult monkeys. He was charged under the federal Animal Crushing statute, a law signed during Trump's first term.According to the DOJ, Ravelo operated under the alias "Tony F***ing Montana" on Telegram, where he created chat groups dedicated to sharing videos of monkeys being burned, mutilated and sexually abused. Between August 2024 and February 2025, he distributed more than 40 of these videos and warned members not to reshare evidence. Homeland Security Investigations tracked him down and built the case.U.S. Attorney Jason Reding Quinones called the case "deeply disturbing," noting that deliberate animal cruelty is a recognized warning sign of escalating violence. Ravelo faces up to seven years in prison but is currently free on $100,000 bond, banned from social media while awaiting sentencing.
