🍏 Amish Apple Fritter Bread — Soft, Cinnamon-Loaded & Glazed

For the bread:
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
â…” cup (130 g) sugar
2 eggs
1½ tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
1Âľ tsp baking powder
½ cup (120 ml) milk
For the apple layer:
2 apples, peeled & chopped (Granny Smith or Fuji work great)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
For the cinnamon swirl:
â…“ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
For the glaze:
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Prep
Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a loaf pan.
Apple mixture
Toss chopped apples with sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Make batter
Cream butter + sugar until light and fluffy
Add eggs and vanilla
Mix in flour + baking powder
Stir in milk until smooth
Layer it up
Pour half the batter into the pan
Add half the apples
Sprinkle half the cinnamon-brown sugar
Repeat layers
Lightly swirl with a knife
Bake
Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Glaze magic ✨
Mix powdered sugar + milk and drizzle over warm bread.
