Texas has once again shown the nation what real leadership and backbone look like. State Attorney General Ken Paxton’s investigation into plans for a so-called “Sharia City” has resulted in the official cancellation of the project, preventing the establishment of a community governed by Islamic law on American soil.This victory protects the rule of American law, constitutional rights, and the principle that no foreign legal system—especially one that rejects equality, free speech, and religious liberty—has any place replacing our founding documents. Texans rightly refuse to allow parallel societies that undermine women’s rights, free expression, and separation of mosque and state to take root in their state.Ken Paxton’s decisive action demonstrates why strong, unapologetic conservative leadership matters. While blue states bend to radical demands and imported ideologies, Texas is drawing a firm line: America’s laws and values come first. No Sharia enclaves, no special accommodations that erode sovereignty, and no tolerance for systems incompatible with the Constitution. This is exactly the kind of vigilance required to preserve our republic for future generations.
