They read a verse they like… and skip the one they don’t. They accept the promises… but ignore the commands. They embrace grace… but reject holiness.And little by little, they shape a version of Christianity that fits their life instead of letting Scripture shape them.That is not new—God already warned us. Men would not endure sound doctrine. Not because they couldn’t understand it…but because they didn’t like it. THE REAL PROBLEMThe danger isn’t that people reject the Bible outright.The greater danger is that they claim to believe it—while editing it.📖 Proverbs 30:5–6 “Every word of God is pure… Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” You don’t have to rewrite Scripture to reject it. All you have to do is ignore it. TRUTH DOES NOT CHANGE TO FIT YOUGod’s Word is not a buffet.You don’t get to choose what you like and leave the rest behind.📖 John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” Truth does not bend. Truth does not adjust. Truth does not apologize. It corrects. It confronts. It demands a response. THE REAL QUESTIONAre you following the Bible…or a version of it that agrees with you?Because if you only believe the parts you like, you’re not submitting to God—you’re submitting to yourself.📖 James 1:22 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” FINAL TRUTH A man who edits Scripture will eventually replace it. A man who submits to Scripture will be changed by it. You don’t change the Word of God. It changes you.
