What Should I Do?Psalms 37:5“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”The Psalmist David reminds us in the beginning of Psalm 37 that the world we live in is full of evildoers. Living in such a world sometimes leaves us with a sense of what should we do? In verses 3-5 the Holy Spirit gives us some guidance. I am interested in verse 5 for it gives us three thoughts.(1. )“Commit thy way unto the LORD…” That is a step of faith towards the LORD.(2.)“Trust also in Him…” The word trust indicates an ongoing relationship. This speaks of a walk with the LORD that is by faith. Daily we walk by faith, not by sight. Everyday I am learning more and more that this Christian life is a walk of faith.(3.) “And He shall bring it to pass”. What is the “it” in this part of this verse? The “it” is the “way unto the LORD” in which you are desiring to live.It is not always easy to live Godly in an ungodly world of evildoers. But God gives us instructions to follow in His Word that when we follow them they help bring it to pass in our life.Are you committing yourself, your walk unto the LORD?It’s not just one step of faith it is a daily walk of faith.2 Corinthians 5:7 “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”. God wants His people to live Godly lives and He wants to bring it to pass. By faith walk with Him.
