"OUR LORD'S EVERLASTING LOVE" "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." (Jeremiah 31:3)When our children were young and were playing or involved in doing something that was important to them, my wife and I would nod at each other, and then both of us would simply point to them.Eventually, they would notice us pointing at them and say, "What?" We would smile and say, "We just wanted you to know how much we love you and that we will love you forever." We took great pleasure doing that and they loved hearing those words from us, and it drew all of us closer. They knew we meant it because they trusted our word. With that thought in mind, I believe the Lord takes great pleasure in His own children who trust in Him for salvation. As we study the Scriptures, lo and behold, the Lord appears to us again and again throughout and points His Words to you and me. Yes, He wants us to know and always remember how much He loves us and that He will love His own forever! No wonder those who know that to be true are ever drawn to Him.You know friends, it's great to have someone tell you that the Lord loves you. Ah, but it is indeed great to the NTH DEGREE to read it with our own eyes and to hear it from our Lord's own lips as He says here in that verse. "Yea. I have loved thee with an everlasting love:"
