👉 Someone reading this today is watching someone they love suffer…and there is nothing they can do to take the pain away.If that’s you…this may be one of the most important reminders you read today.⸻✨ JESUS WEPT… AND SO DO WE ✨⸻👉 Someone reading this today is watching someone they love suffer…and there’s nothing they can do to ease the pain. That feeling may be one of the hardest feelings in the world. You would trade places if you could. You would take the pain if it worked that way.You would carry it… just to give them relief. But you can’t.And that helplessness cuts deep.Today… I sit where you sit.I had to step away from everything…to care for someone I love…watching them hurt…wishing with all my heart that I could make it better.⸻In John 11, we find one of the most powerful and personal moments in all of Scripture.Mary and Martha are grieving.Their brother Lazarus has died. There is sorrow. There are questions. There are tears. And standing in the middle of it all… is Jesus.📖 “Jesus wept.” —John 11:35 (KJV)The shortest verse in the Bible…yet one of the deepest. He knew what He was about to do.He knew resurrection was coming. And yet… He still wept.Because even when God knows the outcome…He still enters into the pain.Because love feels.Because compassion draws near.Even when He was about to solve the problem…He did not ignore the sorrow. And that changes everything.⸻Because the same Jesus who stood there…is the same Jesus who sees you now.He sees your loved one.He sees your tears. He sees the weight you’re carrying. And He is not distant… He is near.📖 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” —Hebrews 4:16We may not be able to fix what is hurting today…but we can bring it to the One who can hold it.The One who comforts. The One who gives peace. The One who is called the Prince of Peace… the Mighty God.⸻Sometimes He changes the situation.Sometimes… like Lazarus…He brings a miracle we can see.But sometimes…He gives us the strength to walk through it.Either way…He never leaves us alone in it.⸻📖 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain…” —Revelation 21:4No more pain.No more suffering. No more watching someone you love hurt.⸻So until that day… we hold on.We pray.We trust. We lean into the One who wept… and still cares.👉 Someone reading this today may feel surrounded by fog…but God has not lost sight of you.⸻❤️ Jesus wept… and so do we.But we never weep alone.⸻👉 Someone you know is carrying this kind of burden right now…watching someone they love suffer…and wishing they could take the pain away. You may already be thinking of them.🙏 Feel free to share this with them today. And if you’d like more devotions like this…you’re always welcome here at Devotions From the Heart.
