Another tragic reminder of failed border policies and lax enforcement. On March 12, a Haitian national with limited English proficiency, driving a semi-truck, barreled into stopped traffic on I-75 in Ohio, killing Hurshel Gipson, 52, and his 11-year-old son Michael in an instant. Four other family members were seriously injured. This chain-reaction crash was completely preventable.
Yvio Michel, 53, had no business being behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle in our country. He’s not a citizen, faces aggravated vehicular homicide and assault charges, yet pleaded not guilty as grieving Americans bury a father and son. How many more families must be destroyed before we secure our borders and enforce our laws?
Rest in peace, Hurshel and Michael. Your story won’t be forgotten. America deserves leaders who prioritize citizens’ safety over open-border chaos. Enough is enough.

But we cant do anything to hold Alejandro Myorkis accountable for flagrantly violating federal laws.
