26. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.Mark 13:26. Jesus gives a warning about men claiming to be Him before He returns to Earth. Men will say He is over there, others will say He's here; only those who have no knowledge of Christ Jesus will believe. Christ will not return in secret, and false Christs will, by demonic power, do signs and wonders to seduce the foolish. Before Christ returns, a third of the population of the Earth will be destroyed, a third of the ocean and rivers too. (Revelation 17:14). The stars of heaven will fall, and the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Then Jesus will come in the clouds with power and glory. And then His angels shall gather together His elect; this word in Greek means those who have obtained salvation through Christ. These will be taken from the uttermost places of the Earth to heaven, Christ saving His own from the tribulation coming to what is left of the Earth. The last 5 chapters of Revelation, 18-22, reveal Christ's victory over the false prophet, the beast, and Satan. Christ is coming, that is sure; be prepared, for there will be no stopping what is coming. Come quickly, Lord. Amen.
