Post 6/9: 2019 – Nostalgic for “civility” with segregationist senators James Eastland and Herman Talmadge: One “never called me ‘boy,’ he always called me ‘son.’” Romanticizing racists who fought against civil rights. Post 7/9: 2020 – To Charlamagne tha God: “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t Black.” Gatekeeping Black identity—classic. Post 8/9: 2020 – On diversity: “Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community.” And: “Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.” (before awkwardly adding others) Post 9/9: From “racial jungle” to “I’m smarter than most of you” at Jesse Jackson’s funeral—how many more before people wake up? Democrats love to lecture about racism, but look at their own record.
