In the the words of Kamala Harris: When there’s a door, you knock on that door. If that door doesn’t open, you kick the door — because sometimes doors are meant to be kicked when people won’t open them for you.
Harris made the remarks while speaking at Rev. Jesse Jackson’s memorial.
She also told the crowd:
“You know, so let me just say I predicted a lot about what’s happening right now. I’m not into saying I told you so… but we did see it coming.”
She said she was raised to believe that when you see a door, you knock and wait to be invited in — but that life taught her sometimes doors have to be kicked open.

And here I thought a funeral was to honor and pay respect to the deceased. I guess I never realized that a funeral is really about making political statements, social commentary, and turning it into an event all about you. But hey, that's the democrats for you. They do it at every funeral.
