51. The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.Mark 10:51. As Jesus was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a great number of people, a blind beggar, after hearing it was Jesus coming cried out, "Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me." And the people told him to be quiet, but he cried louder, "Thou Son of David, have mercy on me." Bartimaeus, being blind, yet he knew Christ was the Messiah, before the multitude of people. Jesus took notice of his faith and asked for him to be brought to Him. One question: "What should I do for you?" Bartimaeus said, "That I might see." Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus. The lesson: Keep your faith even when discouraged by others. Your faith may bring personal benefits, but the true blessing is living a life for Jesus. Amen.
