President Trump is now the ultimate Old Man — and he has alluded to the possibility of reeling in Cuba and freeing them from the sharks of Socialism. Here’s the latest: • Trump’s January 29 executive order slammed the door on Venezuelan oil shipments and threatened tariffs on ANY country feeding fuel to the communists.• Cuba’s economy is in free-fall: blackouts, empty shelves, no tourists, no cash, no nothing. • On February 27, Trump stood on the White House lawn and dropped the line heard ’round the Caribbean: “They have no money. They have no anything right now. But they’re talking to us… and maybe we’ll have a friendly takeover of Cuba.” Laura Loomer dropped a bombshell the very next day and said a high-level source told her the U.S. will be assuming economic management authority of Cuba within 30 days. Thirty. Days. The old Castro machine that’s been choking Cuba for 67 years is gasping for air. Could Marco Rubio be Cuba’s next president? The Cuban people are desperate for relief. And the regime? They’re suddenly very interested in “dialogue.” Better to give up voluntarily than be reeled in and taken out. Hemingway left Cuba heartbroken in 1960 after the revolution stole from him the island he loved. Now the Old Man is back — in the form of President Trump — and this time he’s not letting the big one get away. Imagine the paradise Cuba could become with freedom, prosperity, and American-style opportunity. The Cubans are a high-spirited and hard-working people and deserve opportunities long-denied to them by the Castros and their cadres.
