🍞 SOFT & FLUFFY DINNER ROLLS (STEP-BY-STEP)
🧾 INGREDIENTS
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup warm milk (not hot)
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 2 tsp instant yeast
• ½ tsp salt
• 3 tbsp butter, melted
• 1 egg
Optional filling (for stuffed roll):
• Sautéed vegetables / cooked minced chicken
• Cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
• Salt & pepper to taste
👩‍🍳 METHOD
Step 1: Activate yeast
In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Rest for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Step 2: Make dough
Add egg, melted butter, salt, and flour. Mix to form a soft dough.
Step 3: Knead
Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 4: First rise
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
Step 5: Shape rolls
Divide dough into equal balls.
👉 For stuffed rolls: flatten dough, add filling, seal, and shape into a ball.
Step 6: Second rise
Arrange in a baking tray, cover, and rest 20–30 minutes.
Step 7: Bake
Brush with milk or egg wash.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
Step 8: Finish
Brush hot rolls with melted butter. Serve warm 💛
