6. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.Proverbs 2:6. The reverence of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. True wisdom is found in God, and He gives it freely to all who ask. God's wisdom comes from His mouth, full of knowledge and understanding. The Word is full of stored-up sound wisdom to guide the upright. God not only gives wisdom in His word, He actively works to defend, guard, and preserve all who walk in His ways, becoming a shield to all who follow Christ. The world is full of evil and deceitful paths. We need God's defense to gain proper understanding to defeat false and foolish teachings. All who are taught by God will learn righteousness and understanding. God has written on the new heart and new nature at conversion: truth, mercy, justice, righteousness, and His laws. Lighting the good way, the proper path to walk in life. Wisdom helps make good and useful habits, resulting in good decisions and actions. Amen.
