2. To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;Proverbs 1:2. The purpose of the book of Proverbs is to help us gain both understanding and wisdom. Wisdom is more than facts and knowledge; it is the ability to apply what we know to make sound decisions in life. True wisdom begins with reverence and understanding of God. Wisdom is active, applying lessons learned in daily decisions. Wisdom seeks God's direction, gaining lasting understanding. Wisdom is protection against evil, knowing the difference between evil and good, helping to avoid dangerous traps, pitfalls, and harmful decisions. Wisdom is to be shared, to guide others, especially those who are just starting to navigate their journey in life. Pay attention to where your knowledge comes from. Experience is a great teacher, yet sometimes it comes with consequences. A wise person will encourage younger and less experienced individuals, offering guidance, practical advice, and mentoring. There are no dummies in heaven; to get in, you must know Jesus, and all who know Jesus will become wise. Amen.
