You absolutely cannot make this up! Gavin Newsom stood before a room full of Black voters and attempted to “relate” by saying “I’m one of y’all. I scored a 960 on the SAT and I can’t read.” The pandering is so blatant and insulting it’s actually offensive! How did this clown fail upward into the California governor’s mansion?
First, bragging about poor test scores and illiteracy isn’t relatable - it’s embarrassing and sets a horrible example! Second, assuming Black voters will connect with failure rather than success is actually racist! Newsom’s condescending approach assumes the audience relates to underachievement instead of aspiring to excellence. That’s the soft bigotry of low expectations in action!
Black Americans don’t need pandering politicians making self-deprecating jokes about being stupid - they need real policies, school choice, economic opportunity, and leaders who respect them enough to bring solutions instead of punchlines! Newsom’s comment reveals exactly how Democrats view minority voters: as people to manipulate with fake relatability rather than empower with actual results. California deserves so much better than this embarrassing excuse for leadership! 🤡
