21. And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed?Mark 4:21. Jesus teaches that God's truth, like a lamp, is meant to be shared openly. You cannot hide light in a dark room, for where there is light, there can be no darkness. God's word is truth and love; it is meant to shine and guide others. The measurement you use, your attentiveness and responsiveness to God's teaching, will determine the blessing and understanding you receive. Those who receive and embrace God's truths and actively apply them will grow spiritually, gaining deeper wisdom and understanding, bearing spiritual fruit. The lamp represents your faith, knowledge, and spiritual gifts; do not hide them. Illuminate the lives of those around you. Shine your faith through words, actions, and service. Be alert to what you receive from God's word, and share generously with all, as you grow in Christ. Actively sharing God's Light. Amen.
