A woman was arrested at Las Vegas International Airport after abandoning her dog and trying to board a flight without him, after failing to complete the necessary paperwork for the animal to travel as a service dog. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, she left the 2-year-old goldendoodle tied to a baggage sizer at the JetBlue counter and headed to the boarding gate. When confronted, she claimed that the dog had a tracking device and would return on his own, and she showed hostility, so she was charged with animal abandonment and resisting arrest. The dog, renamed JetBlue, is now under the care of Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas, safe and looking for a new home where he can live happily and be well cared for.

Her punishment should be to be taken out to the middle of the desert and abandoned.
