2. And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.Mark 3:2. Jesus entered the synagogue where there was a man with a withered hand. Jesus said to the man, "Stand up." Jesus now asked the religious leaders, "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath day, to save a life?" but they remained silent. Jesus told the man, "Stretch out your hand."The man could have said, "I cannot, I am crippled." But he stretched out his hand and it became whole. When Jesus says to do something, do it, do not make excuses. Jesus knows what He is doing. The religious leaders now began to plan how they could destroy Jesus. He showed them that any day is right to do good. These leaders knew Jesus would heal this man on the Sabbath, so they were admitting that He has power to heal, but instead of being converted, they planned His death. Do good, flee from evil. The eyes of the Lord in heaven watch who He can reward. Amen.
