"Home is where you dig it!" Infantrymen in Vietnam, when not humping the boonies, spent lots of time filling sandbags, which would be the basic building material for their defensive positions, both sleeping and fighting. The medic als০ got to fil some for the sh-ter. This B co. 3/12 inf., 4th ।D fighting position was built by a squad of the 4th platoon, somewhere in the Central Highlands, March, 1968. Note the LAW, and all the grenades and ammo. The belts of ammo lead me to believe there may be an M-60 barrel sticking out the other side of this position.
