Woke NFL Halftime Show Is Garbage Cartoon published 02/11/2026 I’m old enough to remember when the NFL had marching bands during Super Bowl halftimes. There were no pop stars with extravagant productions. Times have certainly changed, and not for the better. When I heard the NFL hired ‘Bad Bunny’ to be their halftime performer, I pictured a singer in a pink bunny suit. I soon learned he was a popular Latin American singer who threatened to wear a dress during his halftime show. I decided to watch the whole thing to see how bad it could get. Bad Bunny’s set was elaborate. I saw hispanic people pretending to cut sugar cane and Bad Bunny didn’t wear a dress. Instead, he strolled around garbed in some sort of bland-colored jumpsuit while grabbing at his crotch. He prattled away nonstop in Spanish and I couldn’t understand a word. I wondered why in the world Roger Goodell would allow such a show—was he planning on expanding and establishing a team in Mexico City or Puerto Rico? I could not fathom why Bunny was on the field. The NFL could have put on a patriotic show—after all, America celebrates its 250th birthday this year. Instead, we saw an anti-American show. I found out what he was saying the next day and I was disgusted. His rapping monologue was filled with foul language, lewd sexual innuendos, and talk about getting drunk. People like to drink and have sex, I get that. But children were watching and many of them were hispanic children. Big Bunny accused the United States of colonizing Hawaii and compared it to Puerto Rico. Well, Hawaii is a state and his island is part of the United States, too. If he is calling for independence, good luck with that. Without US aid, Puerto Rico would quickly become as poor as Cuba. Essentially Bunny condemned America as a thief of native land—that tired old chestnut. The NFL’s virtue signaling is evident when they promote ‘love over hate,’ but Bad Bunny made it clear he hates gringos. Apparently the NFL is fine with that form of hate because it promotes not unity, but division. Diversity is the left’s woke mantra. The Democrat media predictably praised Bunny’s performance and ignored his sex grinding, his swearing, and his politics. The Super Bowl crowd itself stayed mostly silent and confused. They didn’t know what was going on and the show lacked focus. Big Bunny’s performance was perhaps the most boring Super Bowl halftime show in history. Maybe that’s appropriate since the game itself was called the most boring Super Bowl in a long time. Goodell, worth $700 million, needs to answer for Bunny’s insulting disgrace of a halftime show, but Roger is untouchable—just like the rest of the elite. All we can do is stop watching. — Ben Garrison
