17-year-old Jesse Strang, a transgender individual, has been identified as the shooter in the devastating Tumbler Ridge Secondary School massacre in Canada. Ten people are confirmed dead including the shooter, with over twenty-five others seriously injured and hospitalized.This is an absolute heartbreaking tragedy for an entire community that never saw this coming. Families are destroyed tonight. Parents received the worst phone calls of their lives. Children who went to school this morning never came home.Warning signs were apparently documented well before this attack. Family social media posts revealed behavioral issues and violent tendencies that went completely unaddressed by authorities and mental health professionals. The system failed these innocent victims catastrophically.This is not the first high-profile mass shooting carried out by a transgender individual and serious questions must be asked.God bless every victim and their devastated families tonight.
