We didn’t grow up afraid of a bad Wi-Fi signal. We grew up doing drills.Hearing sirens.Watching adults whisper in low voices. Some of us remember desks pushed aside, heads tucked down, waiting for something we didn’t fully understand but knew was serious. Some remember hospitals. Iron lungs. Needles. Long recoveries. Friends who disappeared for a while. We learned early that life wasn’t guaranteed. That safety wasn’t automatic. That strength wasn’t optional. And because of that, we don’t panic easily. We’ve seen worse. We’ve lived through things that required patience, courage, and trust in tomorrow. It didn’t make us cold.It made us resilient. And when people say, “How are you so calm?”The answer is simple. We’ve already survived storms they’ve only read about.
