It's snowing!! Well... it was... for about 30 minutes. Big, fat flakes. Covered everything. But, then it stopped suddenly. Sitting here at the clinic, waiting on kersaundra to get done with her checkup and blood work, getting back in to map creation for my rpg. So I'm sitting here for like an hour, and the executive director of the clinic comes out. He's all, "Mr. Lockette! How long have you been sitting here? Have you been seen?" I told him I was just waiting on my girl to get some with her appointment. He looked over at my map and He's all, "Whatchya chartin'?" And poured me a cup of hot coffee, then we had a talk about being fellow nerds and creating maps for rpgs. I'm on the board that he reports to in city hall and at the 501c3 level. He runs the clinic's day to day operations. I work at the grocery store part time and wait for debt or death to give me that final judge out of this life. We both take joy from the world creation and story telling of running our own games. This is the level of community we need to pursue. Finding commonality instead of just highlighting differences and assuming intent by suspicion and fear.
