The left's sudden hatred for Tom Homan is a textbook case of partisan double standards. As a top ICE official under Barack Obama, Homan led aggressive enforcement and removal operations, overseeing record-high deportations without a whisper of outrage from Democrats or the media.In 2015, Obama himself awarded Homan one of the highest federal honors—the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service—praising his "sustained extraordinary leadership" in securing the border and deporting illegal immigrants. Back then, tough enforcement was just good governance.Now, serving as border czar under President Trump in 2026, the same man and similar policies are branded extreme and cruel. The only thing that changed is the party in power—proving once again that for some, immigration enforcement is only unacceptable when Republicans do it.
