What is Mexico, but the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire!!!!!! The Myans were in "Mexico" long before the Spaniards invaded, slaughtered, conquered and settled what is now called Mexico. The fall of the Aztec Empire was the key event in the formation of the Spanish overseas empire, with New Spain, which later became Mexico, as a major component.
