Despite mortal wounds, he called 911 to describe his attackers and texted his mom and sister: “I’m dying and I love you.” This decorated veteran, Mizzou grad, and devoted humanitarian spent years on missionary work in impoverished countries and fighting human trafficking—driven by unshakable faith and compassion.
