In 1945, after seeing with his own eyes the horrors at the Nazi camp of Buchenwald, General George S. Patton forced 1000 residents of the nearby German town of Weimar to see with their own eyes what they had done to the Jewish people.
They were shown crematoria, corpses, evidence of torture, and other proof of Nazi crimes.
They would not have remorse or shame in their eyes until they realized what Hitler had done to their own people: the sons who didn't return from war, the destruction of Berlin, and the loss of millions of their own people.
Antisemites show no remorse until they realize how badly antisemitism will cannibalize their own selves.
