Iran is becoming North Korea. The only real difference is the mullahs don't have nuclear weapons yet, and there is still a chance to free 90 million hostages living there. I'm hearing people there are somehow still finding ways to form crowds outside of city centres. People haven't given it at all and are defying curfews in whatever way they can. There's chants everywhere, and also reported assassinations of regime figures based on pre-blackout doxxing. This is a MAJOR reason the internet isn't back. The mullahs know they've gone beyond too far this time, and if they allow the population to communicate, there will be revenge killings. There will be a modern day Order of Assassins, but instead of Alamut Castle, their base is social media, X, Telegram, you name it. What the regime is doing is circling a death spiral. They're desperate and there's no way to maintain even a barely functioning dictatorship this way. There is a reason why they claim victory while forging passports and wiring money out of the country.
