This is my little partner. ♥️ Together we have hiked 1000s of miles. Yesterday on our hike, we were about 2 miles out and entering a pretty heavily wooded area near the summit about 1030 AM when Joe suddenly stopped..started to growl, kicked dirt and started acting like the pitbull he is. I glanced in the direction he was staring in time to see a pale tan flash dart to the right into the brush. Mountain lion sized. Even though I carry out there, I decided to trun around and find another way through. As we headed back the way we had just come, I spotted a large cougar scat ON THE TRAIL. My little hero 💙 ❤️
