California doesn’t have a revenue problem. It has an accountability problem.
A new State Auditor report estimates $70+ billion lost or misspent across programs—billions in fraud, homelessness funding with little impact, and a high-speed rail project still unfinished after $18B.
If this much money can disappear without consequences, why are taxpayers always asked for more? Who is actually being held accountable?
