7. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. Matthew 8:7. Matthew mentioned three people that Jesus healed in this chapter: the leper, the centurion's servant, and Peter's mother-in-law. All were instantly healed, but Jesus was moved by the Roman. Jesus was ready to travel to his home to heal the servant. The Roman, being a Gentile, was aware of Christ's authority, telling Jesus, "I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes; to another, 'Come,' and he comes." He continued, "Speak but the word, and my servant shall be healed." Jesus said He had not seen this kind of faith in Israel. Jesus told him, "Go home; for as you believed, so is it done." This is what faith is; it's not about how many words, or where you ask, or how many times. It's knowing that what you asked for is already done. So instead of asking over and over, begin to thank Jesus. Like the Roman, he did not need Jesus to come to his house; he said, "Speak the word, and my servant will be healed." Faith is thanking for what you have not seen. For if you see it with your eyes, there is no more need of faith. Asking, believing, thanking, knowing Jesus has done everything to make your life abundant, spiritually and physically. Amen.
