The warning sirens were already too late.In Deer Park, Texas, Joel Nitchman realized his K9 partner Roni was still locked inside the patrol car as a tornado tore through the area. With visibility near zero and debris flying through the air, Nitchman ran directly into the storm. Battling hurricane force winds, he struggled to open the door while Roni hesitated in fear, but the officer refused to leave without him. Moments later, they made it back to safety together.
