1. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.Revelation 21:1 John's vision is after time has ended. Satan, evil, sin, and death have been destroyed. All tears, sorrow, crying, and pain have been removed. John sees a place where God resides with His people forever. God is revealed as the First and Last and all in between. He has made everything new, without fault or blemish. This New Jerusalem has no need of a Temple, for the Almighty Father and Jesus are already there everywhere. The city needs no sun or moon, for God's glory is all the light needed. Revelation 21 encourages believers to look forward to eternal hope, reminding all that God will restore everything. He shall be with His people in the perfect place created for their joy, His presence filling every part of His creation. Amid life's struggles and sorrows, Revelation 21 reminds us that God's faithfulness gives us a sure hope and reward. Amen.
