1. And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. Revelation 15:1
John sees the coming judgment of God on all who reject Christ, and in these seven last plagues is God's wrath without measure.
This chapter describes the victory of God and His people.
This heavenly vision has two main parts: the victorious, and a depiction of God's holiness and power.
Those who are victorious over evil praise God (verses 1-4).
The plagues complete God's wrath against sin and rebellion.
The faithful sing a song of praise, celebrating God's faithfulness, power, justice, and judgment.
All nations will see His work. God's glory and holiness are revealed in verses 5-8.
The chapter emphasizes that faithfulness to God leads to victory over sin and evil.
The song of praise is gratitude and recognition of God's power and justice.
The plagues prove God controls history.
Revelation 15 celebrates God's holiness and the assurance that evil will be judged. Amen.
