There were some people upset about the gain of function research that more than likely produced COVID-19, but this was not a collectively shared emotion, as mainstream media was inviting people to place their attention on the unvaccinated instead. Why? You can decide that for yourself.What was intriguing about the lab leak hypothesis was that it was the most obvious and likely answer all along, and yet it went from possible, to 'no, it's a conspiracy theory' and then back to being the most likely explanation. All the while, mainstream media bent to whatever government suggested they should say. Alternative media and well informed experts did not bend, however. They stay consistent that the most likely scenario was that it came from a lab throgh gain of function research.Given that storyline, is it any wonder why people are losing more and more trust in mainstream media? Are they truly doing a good job of seeking out truth? No. They seem to uphold the consensus view connected to the political side the platform leans. They are often 5 to 10 years behind on accurately reporting on controversial issues as well.
