BREAKING: Police are investigating possible ties between the Brown University shooting and the deadly attack on an MIT professor just days later. Senior law enforcement officials tell Target 12 that federal, state and local authorities are now examining possible ties between the two crimes. Multiple people familiar with the investigation said they have discovered evidence showing the two may be linked.The potential connection marks a shift in the investigation. Ted Docks, special agent in charge of the FBI Boston office, said at a briefing Tuesday that there “seems to be no connection” between the two shootings. The next briefing is scheduled to be held at 4 p.m. Thursday.
