Bad news: Governor JB Pritzker (D) is pressuring the Illinois Tollway to hike tolls on Illinois drivers by $1 billion. The Democrat approved plan will cost an extra $329 per year for the typical driver.This is money that the tollways actually do not need, and won’t receive. Perspective: this part of a deal Ilinois Democrats admit that they made to get labor unions to back a Chicago-area mass transit bailout.That’s right: the tollway rate increase will not improve the tollway roads at all.The Illinois tollway Authority could approve the Pritzker/Democrat toll hike from $.75 to $1.20 per toll on December 18th!
