Many of us were born here. Many of our families have been here for generations. Just a few weeks ago. The Dearborn City Council heard a testimony from a white Muslim woman whose family had been there for literal centuries.Okay. Like her family actually built their town in Michigan. We did not become less American because of our faith. There's something profoundly ironic about an immigrant yelling at other immigrants to go back to where they came from. Americans are laughing at you."
