6. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Revelation 3:6 Again, here in chapter 3, this is repeated three times. Only those with a spiritual ear can hear what the Spirit says. What the Spirit says to the church, He is saying to us. In the church of Sardis, Jesus says He knows what they are doing; they say they are alive, but are spiritually dead. Jesus also says that there are a few who have overcome sin; they shall be clothed in white, they are in the book of life, and Jesus will tell their name before His Father and His angels. To the church in Philadelphia, Jesus says, "I know who are of the synagogue of Satan; I will have them come and worship before thy feet, and to know I love thee." The synagogue of Satan is all who reject Christ. To the church in Laodicea, Jesus says, "You're not hot or cold; I will spew thee out of my mouth." Jesus stands at the door of the hearts of mankind; only you can open the door. Jesus warns the church and us that He is coming at a time you will not expect, so hold fast to Jesus, so that no one can take away your crown. Amen.
