This isn’t for me anymore.
I said it softly
but it shattered something in me.
Because I wanted it to work.
I tried to stay.
I tried to bend.
But the truth didn’t bend with me.
It only grew heavier.
So I stepped back
not because I stopped caring
but because I finally saw
what holding on was doing to me.
Some things end
not with anger
but with the realization
that I deserve a place
that doesn’t hurt to love.
