Donna Reed - Many fans remember her performance in "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946), playing George Bailey's wife Mady Hatch Bailey, or Lorene (Alma) in the role that won her an Acadeny Award for Best Supporting Actress, who becomes romantically involved with Robert E. Lee Pruitt (Montgomery Cliff) in "From Here to Eternity" (1953). Others likely recall her turn in the long running TV series "The Donna Reed Show" (1958-1966) or in the night time soaper "Dynasty" (1985-1986). But among her film titles are three lesser known but worthwhile noirs" "Chicago Deadline" (1949)," "Scandal Sheet" (1952), and "Ransom" (1956), in which Reed delivers credible performances.
