We don’t ask for favors. We integrate, but we keep our values, our culture.But now, you’ve got these politicians bending over backward for some communities like we owe them something more. Why? We all come here to work and make a living.What happened to just earning respect by what you do, not demanding that people speak your language or apologize for stuff that happened ages ago? It’s crazy, really.Our community just put our heads down and worked. And we’ve come a long way. We don’t need special treatment. We make it by staying strong and self-sufficient. That’s something to be proud of."
